When researching senior care, a Place For Mom will undoubtedly appear in your search. It is one of the largest online advisory services for senior living. They claim to recommend facilities that provide “exemplary care and support to aging loved ones.” A deeper dive into the company reveals that facility operators are paying a premium to have their nursing homes falsely rated and promoted. There is not only bias present, but misleading information as the Washington Post also found that more than one third of the facilities on this website have been “cited for neglect and substandard care in the past two years.”
